Dr. Elif Güler Ergin
Embryology Laboratory Director
Dr. Elif Guler Ergin was born in Trabzon in 1967. She graduated from Uludag University Medical School in 1991. After working as a medical doctor at various hospitals in different cities, she received training for "Assisted Reproduction Techniques" at the Düsseldorf Heinrich Heine University. After completing her training as a clinical embryologist, she worked for two years at the same university. She then continued her work at the Zentrum für Reproduktionsmedizin in Düsseldorf.
In 2000, Dr. Ergin established the laboratory of the Istanbul Eurofertil IVF Center as the laboratory director, as well as 13 other IVF centers within the EUROFERTIL Group.
Dr. Ergin has made many presentations at national and international congresses and has published articles in many international magazines. She authored chapters on embryology in two separate books. She worked on andrology at Chicago Andrology Laboratory Services, on HLA-g and sperm DNA fragmentation at Millenova Immunology Laboratories, on IVF laboratory quality control at Dallas IVF Center and Frisco Fertility Center, on time-lapse imaging systems at Billund, on witness systems and genetical analysis at Genera Centers for Reproductive Medicine in Rome, and on IVM (In Vitro Maturation) at Monza Biogenesis IVF Center.
Dr. Ergin is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Medicine (ESHRE), the Reproductive Medicine Society (UTD), and the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine (TSRM). She is also a founding member of the Clinical Embryology Society (KED), and still serves as a board member.
Dr. Ergin currently continues her duties as the chairwoman of the executive board at Bursa EUROFERTIL IVF Center.
